I use a app called NetGuard. It blocks all internet on the app therefore blocking ads.
I think I got it here Block In-App Ads on Android - #8 by FlipAdmin.
It runs through VPN as well but because @FlipAdmin mentioned it I trusted it.
Do all ad blockers work this way or there is a way to allow internet and only block the ads?
There are two different ways to block ads on a device either you could block ads via root or via a VPN
I’ll try to explain them
Root
Blocking ads via root I think edits the host file and blocks the urls that the ads come from
VPN
A VPN a is something that monitors all your web traffic and when it detects a url that’s sending ads it blocks it
Hope this helped
or via dns or proxy.
But is it trustworthy the one posted by @Dev-in-the-BM
