Edge vs. Chrome

All the problems with big tech, neatly summed up in a single sentence. Hey Microsoft, I never asked for AI to be jammed down my throat in every part of Windows.

Tech developers are probably doing it more for ads to more personalize the ads the more online the more they could see and sell to advertisers

Lol :joy:

And Microsoft! I HATE EDGE BROWSER! DON’T STUFF YOUR BROWSER DOWN MY THROAT IN EVERY PART OF WINDOWS!

My guess is that Google did RCS as a response to Apple’s iMessage, which is actually pretty popular, and is a reason some people choose iOs over Android.

The gsma made RCS and Google made their own version of it that’s why Google message to iMessage RCS doesn’t have encryption, since apple is using the universal profile.
Also I’m assuming that RCS will still work for 2fa and when that switch happens the only way to have 2fa if you don’t have access would be to have backup codes.

Thats your problem with Windows?
How about it being the disorganized, outdated, chaos from the '80’s that it is?
Its literally a jungle in terms of what and how apps run.
App asking for admin permission?
You’re guess is just as good as mine what it wants to do with it.
Want to uninstall an app?
Have fun relying on the app itself taking care of the uninstallation, with it deciding if and what you can uninstall, and what mess to leave behind for you to clean up after.
BSOD.
Intrusive forever updates.
Forever changing design scheme, with a half-hearted attempt at uniformity across the os.
Definitely prefer Google’s locked down MonopolyOs to Microsofts proprietary MiddleEastWarzoneOs, AI or no AI.

If Bill Gates had a dime for every time Windows crashed …

Oh wait, he does.

It sucks the only reason it’s big is because it’s a stock browser

bing shopping is better than google shopping from what i have been told and i think that is the only advantage

which you could just use in the chrome browser

I have to admit it… I use edge (debingified). Side tabs are a real boon for me…
But yes google shopping really stinks. Never tried bing shopping but hard to believe…

This video is hilarious. You dont need to watch it, title says it all…
Microsoft’s presenter installs Chrome during presentation because Edge won’t work

Give me a good reason to switch.

I also use Chrome and Firefox. I’ve even tried Opera and Arc But mainly Edge.

Any admins want to split this thread?

Done.

Sidekick was the best browser ever.
Sessions, multiple accounts, split screen minimalism, lightweight…
Loved it.
Try it, and you’ll agree.
The only problems were that it was very expensive, and that it was shuttered.

I actually prefer Bing to Google, and hold that the only reason Google rules is cuz, you know, its Google.
(The Feds say that it gets a
bit dirtier than that.)
Its way lighter, has a nicer UI, and is better featured.
The only ma’alah Google has is that its more minimalistic, and even then not by much.
But just about every search engine is
completely dumbed down for ads.
And I’m not talking about the fact that half of the results are paid ads.
Whenever they can give you paid results (like when you’re searching for a product or service), the ads will match your search exactly, while the other results will be relevant, but not exactly what you’re searching for.

And Google is very woke.
Although Microsoft isn’t that much better.
But Google is also anti-semitic.

I hear what your saying but I still love Chrome btw what’s would happen if you do the same search on Bing?

I tried it.
Its a lot less biased.

You’ve used Sidekick?
