eGate-Android MDM-version 1.20-1.22

You can do that with the DNS filter

Basssssiccccs…
The problem is with the version of your qin.
Your version comes with a hidden Chinese government device owner.

Flash any other version and it’ll work.

How did you do that dns block?? Since there is no api to do that? Thats amazing!!

Would love a switch to disable default apps
(Instead of ppl asking for new features all the time just add everything)

There is a problem with the Qin Accessibility addon
When enabling external accessibility, it says eGate has stopped working and the app closed. When you reopen it, it is checked - but not sure whats going on
When you block Webview and then exit eGate - when you log back into eGate, webview block is not toggled anymore…

Thanks for the bug report. I’ll check into it.

Version 1.22 released:

DNS Blocking updated. I’ve tested it on my system and it works. This update lays the technical framework for using custom DNS servers in the future.

Experimental MMS blocking switch. I can’t guarantee at this point that it 100% works, so your feedback is welcome.

I created an Android enterprise enrollment QR code for this release. See the next post for the QR code.

Let’s say I wanna use my own DNS server
What setting do I enable after setting my own DNS server that blocks it from being edited?

That’s next up on the list of things to add.
