Hard Reset eGate

Which devices does eGate block hard reset, specifically flip phones

I don’t know that there is a list anywhere. It’s more reliable to delete the recovery partition. Technically, the “block hard reset” button doesn’t block it. It just uses FRP to brick the device if it does get reset. I’m thinking of removing that function, as deleting the recovery partition is a better method anyway.

watch out… :anguished:

some phones need recovery to boot

Do you get a warning before resetting it that it will get bricked? I think it’s very important that this is clear.

Deleting the recovery is a complex task and requires root

u can do it through fastboot

Well, if you’re messing with Samsung devices, I certainly hope you know what you are doing.

There is always ways to bypass frp its not that hard

Yes, that’s why I don’t see a future for using it as an anti-reset strategy.
