Phone Troubleshooting

Weird Issue: I have a Sonim XP3 (Verizon Branded, seems refurbished), that was working with HelloMobile for a while, they recently sent out replacement SIM cards. I put it in the phone, and now the phone will boot up, go so the starting screen and the freeze after a few seconds and reboot. This is seemingly only with this specific SIM, other T-Mobile MVNO sims work fine. I could not yet try another new HelloMobile SIM yet… Hard reset of the phone also didnt help. This same SIM in another identical phone, didnt either help… Any Ideas?

The only thing I could think if is figuring out a way to get the sim card in while the phone is on and seeing what happens. It might be possible with small jumper cables. I’ve never done anything like that before, but it seems like the issue is with booting up.

For the Sonim its really hard… and I feel like that will only get me closer to finding the problem, and not actually a solution… And then anytime the phone shuts off again…

The only thing I could think of is a workaround. Maybe call forwarding?
I have no eitzas.

@Flippy any updates on this?

I have the xp3800 if i take out the battery while the phone is plugged it stays on as long as you use a non junky cord so then you could try @FliphoneBochur method and put in the sim card after its on

Once hellomobile closed and I ported to US Mobile, I didnt have the issue. What issue are you having?
