Wi-Fi Calling on the TCL Flip 2

i am in israel with a tcl flip 2 and i keep my american sim in there. when i am connected to wifi i get texts. i would love to be able to use wifi calling as well, but it seems like it doesn’t support it. does anyone know of a way to sideload it?

On the lg classic the wifi calls option shows up on the phone only with a sim of t mobile do you think the tcl flip 2 works the same? If anyone has a t mobile sim in a tcl please let me know if it has wifi calling. Thanks

UPDATE: good to know that a settings popped up called wifi calling on the tcl when i put a t mobile sim in.

If you have magisk you can install this attached module in the magisk app. Then you will need to enter this code in the dialer ##66384## and you should have Wi-Fi calling in the call settings. This worked for Verizon usmobile.

Thanks a ton @flip. It worked!

PS To clarify the code you need to enter is star # star #66384# star # star.

I did have problems with the Wi-Fi calling until I came across an update option on magisk and now it works perfectly.
Here is the updated module to use.

I came across this reddit article on this topic.

I’ve used both methods. The module is less risky.

Hello, I am looking for a wifi calling APK that does not use a phone number for log in/sign up and does not require google play services.

You could try Dingtone.
Dingtone_6.3.7_apkcombo.app.apk (57.4 MB)

Hi, sorry for my response being late at night, I looked at a tutorial video of the app as well as installed it on LDplayer (Android Emulator) to see how it worked, what are credits? Are they free if I watch ads? Can Ads even load on a TCL Flip Go? Also is my Dingtone ID the same as my phone number and are credits not used for internet only calls?

I decided to try it out, when I try to connect myself with a number it just says network error, If there are any other free wifi calling apps that don’t reqiure play services or need a login/signup or a fix to this, help would be appreciated, thank you

Nevermind: I got a new phone, the Kyocera Gratina KYF39

This guy claims to know how to get Wi-Fi callin on other carrriers besides T-Mobile even without root

TCL Flip 2 (T408DL) wi-fi calling on AT&T

Yes, it can be done, E911 address and everything. (No, I couldn’t get Verizon to work.)

If you’re rooted with Magisk, install the enabler Magisk module from Github. Wi-Fi calling will show up in Settings>Call settings.

If you’re not rooted, you need a T-Mobile (or MVNO) SIM. Install that SIM, which puts the wi-fi calling option in the settings, and access that setting, then exit. In the home screen, the Down d-pad button brings the recently used apps, and includes wi-fi calling. Power off, insert the AT&T (or MVNO) SIM, power on, and when booted, the wi-fi calling setting app is still accessible via Down d-pad, ready for use.

Yes, the non-rooted option is awkward, but it works.

I did the magisk module on my TCL and it worked for a Verizon based sim. I am not sure why he wrote that it only works for AT&T. It could be he is referring to the non-rooted option.

there are a few lines that were added to the module that make verizon work as well
